Welcome to the website of Cook Islands Turtle Survey!

The following pages illustrate hopes, goals, and accomplishments of CCRC’s latest endeavor: community-based conservation of sea turtles in the Cook Islands. The project was launched in late 2000 at Palmerston Atoll, and we hope to broaden its coverage in 2001 to include other atolls in the Cook Islands which still support nesting populations of green turtles.
